Just a little reminder to everyone we are now on the final push to the Scottish and so – as has been printed on your Bandhall and the Plan sheet you have received – here is a list of the rehearsals between now and the contest. Please note – there may be a change in venue from Whyte’s Causeway Baptist Church for some of these, but if there is, we will let you know.

Before you all become befuddled with Christmas and all the trimmings here is a little copy of the plan for next year’s Scottish Championships. I was able to give most of these out, but wanted to make sure as many people had it as possible. Please get your diaries set now – and if you need a copy of your test piece music please contact us either over facebook or Fiona / Iain McAlpine and we can get a copy sent to you.

2016 was a remarkable year for our band – lets make 2017 a year that blows this one out of the water!

Dysart Colliery Silver Band left the stage of the Band Supplies Scottish Challenge with a highly commendable performance that secured the 4th Section trophy in what was a highly competitive field. In a rendition that drew plenty of compliments from the adjudicators, DCSB took 18th place overall – no mean feat in a lineup of some great bands both from north and south of the border.

The last rehearsal before the Scottish Challenge – we are almost there! See you all Saturday! 8.30am, Kilmarnock.

Your Christmas calendars maybe starting to fill, but make sure you save a space for the annual DYSART COLLIERY SILVER BAND CHRISTMAS CONCERT!

On what promises to be a night of great fun and musical treats (and of course much seasonal cheer) we are this year being joined by The Songburds – a local women’s choir of high calibre and class.

All the regular festival treats will be available as well a chance to walk away with some great prizes in our raffle and, of course, a perfect setup to your holiday season.
